My favourite movie_______Wall-E

Wall-E is my favourite movie. It’s a science cartoon movie. I think it’s full of pathos.

I have seen every movie by Pixar. I think they are all fine works. But ever since I saw Wall-E, i have thought that’s the best one and it’s incredible!

All the characters show off their persistence especially the captain, Wall-E and Eve. I was really encouraged.

I found that maybe the creators wanted to tell us that you should never give up no matter whether you are strong or weak. We are able to find that the captain is weak. It’s even hard for the captain to stand up by himself. But he fights “Auto”(the bad character in the movie),and the captain helps save the plant by holding “Auto” to make it can’t move.

It’s the same situation for Wall-E. Other robots are so advanced. He’s trying to help even though he is ruined.

Actually, I like Eve the best. Maybe it’s because she’s a cute girl. Beyond that, I think she’s a character full of kindness, patience, persistence as well as power. She’s quite uncaring at first. But she pays lots of effort to change herself to become kind.

I like this movie, because everyone in the movie tells us we need to do our best. I was moved and encouraged when i saw the movie.

It’s a pity that the movie isn’t published in China. So i only saw the unoriginal one which is a low production quality.

One thing i want to do before i die

One thing I want to do before I die is go skateboarding down a steep ski hill.


I have been good at skiing ever since I was a little child. I was really balanced the first time I skied. I
didn’t slip even once. My father said that’s probably because I used to go roller skating. But I did
much better at skiing! Maybe I’m natural skier.

But my hometown isn’t on very high latitude and there aren’t high mountains. So there are ski hills in the winter. It’s quite different from Canada. In July, when I went to Whistler, I still saw many people skiing on the peak of the mountain. It’s a pity that I didn’t have enough time to ski there.


Now, there are two challenges I’m facing to.

Whistler

On one hand, I have to learn how to skateboard. I haven’t tried it yet. Though it will be hard to learn it,I think it should be more convenient than skiing because the only board.


On the other hand, there aren’t very steep ski hills in my hometown. I also have to eliminate the possibility that I may hurt myself. It’s quite difficult to consider safety and to be adventurous at the same time. So I have to improve my skills!


In fact, I’m waiting for the spring vacation. It will be an awesome vacation if I’m able to ski in Whistler.


I can’t wait for it!!

one thing I want to change in China

I want to change the traffic conditions in China. Nowadays, cities, especially big cities in china are so crowded.

For example, when I go to school from my home, I always ride a bike because it takes half of the time compare with my dad or mom drove me to school

The air near the roads, both main roads and small roads is polluted during rush hours. It does lots of harm to us.

But the air is not always so bad, the air will be better when it isn’t rush hour.

I have been to Britain. It’s one of my best journeys.

My dad went to university of Birmingham for a visit. I went there together with him and his students. I spent my first two weeks in Birmingham.

After that, my dad rented a car. It’s only a regular car. The car is so busy as a result of we needed to carry 5 people during the whole journey.

We started from Birmingham and finally arrived at Edinburgh. We have been to Blackpoor and Liverpool. I can hardly remember where we visited there. But I remember that as soon as we crossed the boundary between England and Scotland, there was no more phone signal for us.dad told me that’s because England used to invade Scotland. Scottish people are so mad with English men.

When I was in Scotland, everything surrounding me shows that it is absolutely not England! Building features are quite different and there are more military buildings.

The most impressive building is the grand castle which is on the peak of the mountain, it’s an ancient building, but just on the foot of the mountain, there are modern roads and buildings. I got a wonderful view of Edinburgh city when I was on the edge of the castle. The castle is huge with strong defence. There are lots of narrow passageways inside the castle. These made me imagine involuntarily how important and hectic it was hundreds of years ago.

We also visited another castle. It was ruined and completed broken. But from the instruction, we got that it was also a grand castle.

Eventually, we drove back to Birmingham. There was one more quite fun thing on the way back. We parked the car beside the highway. We found a clear stream that came down from a hill. We drank it. It was the best water I have ever drank.

Hot Pot

My favourite food is Hot Pot. It’s from Szechuan province. It is one of the most popular foods throughout China. We usually have it in restaurants because it’s complicated to make at home.

Hot Pot restaurant Is different from other restaurants. There is a big hole in the middle of each table. It fits the big bowl.

There are two kinds of soup in the big bowl, they are separated. One is red and spicy and the other one is mild. The soup is always boiling because of the fire under the bowl is always heating.

Many people are sitting around the table. Flavouring is in front of each person. Usually it is sesame oil or sesame paste, so there are a number of bowls. Many dishes with raw food are on the table. We have tribe, chitterlings, meat and many other common or special vegetables. Nowadays, many people only eat meat and common vegetables because they aren’t interested in the special food any more. Some of them are even afraid of them. But I like them so much. The big bowl also takes up lots of place. As a result, the table becomes very busy.

People usually eat the spicy one with the sesame oil to make it milder. Garlic is usually inside the oil. People think it tastes better and is good for health. People eat the mild one with sesame paste so it tastes stronger.

As you know, the water is boiling, it’s hot. So the aromatic smell pervades the whole restaurant.

As soon as you open the door of the restaurant, you will say, “it smells so good, it’s absolutely a hot pot restaurant.”

My home city Tianjin

My home city is Tianjin, China

Tianjin is a big city. It’s busy and crowded because of the big population.

As we are students, the most important things are school and traffic.

I have a good school. The building there looks modern. We also have advanced equipment, both for studying and PE.

School is good but the traffic is terrible. It becomes harder and harder to support the numerous private cars. The air is polluted. People are so mad that we can always hear the thump of bass. There is smell of human beings because of the busy public transport. There is a joke. The bus driver says, everybody tightens their abdomens, so there can be one more person gets on the bus.

Hot Pot

There are a number of good restaurants in Tianjin. I like spicy food so much. Thus, I usually go to Sichuan restaurant for Hot Pot or spicy dishes. We can also find restaurants like shanghai food, Hong Kong food and Shandong food restaurants. They are delicious as well. I can’t recognize if the food is original in the western food restaurants, but it’s usually delicious and expensive.

Bridge Jingang over River Hai

There aren’t many sights in Tianjin. You can take a tour by boat over the River Hai. The water has become cleaner through the years and there are more modern bridges over the river. There is also a Ferris wheel called the Tianjin Eye. It is the biggest one in the world even bigger than the London Eye though it is not really famous.

The weather in Tianjin isn’t comfortable. It can be really hot in summer up to 39 degrees. In winter the temperature goes down to  -10 degrees. The spring and autumn in Tianjin is quite short as a result of the temperature changes very quickly.

Over recent years, Tianjin develops very fast. We have got Motorola and Airbus factory in Tianjin Binhai New Area. There is also a number of high technology Companies by multinational corporations and private companies.

Actually I don’t think my home city is good for living. But I think it is energetic, it has a good developmental prospect.
